How will the Cat Wheelchair benefit my pet?

Our Cat Wheelchairs are specifically designed for a cats with a lighter frame and are available as either a Rear Support Wheelchair or a Full Support Wheelchair, depending on your cat’s disability. Cats in need of the Rear Support Wheelchair have weakness in the rear legs and good strength in the front legs while using the Towel Test. Cats with some or complete weakness in the front legs will need the Full Support Wheelchair.

Description

Custom made in the USA just for your cat. Suitable for cats 6-15 lbs. The cat wheelchair is designed and tested specifically for cats by K9 Carts; a company founded with a veterinary background since 1961. The Cat Wheelchair by K9 Carts is the only wheelchair design specifically for cats on the market today and the only wheelchair to offer the support our clients have come to appreciate by our experienced staff.

Cats in need of this wheelchair have some or complete weakness in the rear legs or weakness in both the rear and the front legs while using the towel test as well as the desire to be active. This wheelchair can be ordered as just a rear support or a full support during the checkout process. The Cat Wheelchair removes some or all of the weight bearing on the hind legs as well as the front legs while allowing complete mobility. The rear legs can be left down for cats still mobile in the rear or the legs can be held up with the legs slings. Every wheelchair comes standard with leg slings to hold the back legs up if needed. This Wheelchair balances perfectly on your cat and will not put any pressure on the shoulders or front legs.

The Cat Wheelchair is excellent for post-surgical rehabilitation, older arthritic cats or any pets experiencing both rear and front limb weakness. This wheelchair is also an excellent alternative for cats when surgery is not an option as well.

  • Rear Wheelchair orders typically ship in 1 – 2 business days days (ultralight wheelchairs for dogs under 6lbs take 2-5 business days). Every wheelchair is custom built specifically for your pet and shipping lead times can vary, so please contact us with any specific questions.
  • All other products normally ship same business day when placed by 1pm EST.
  • We ship via UPS Ground. Express options available. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout with UPS live rates based on your exact location.
  • Orders will be shipped between Monday and Friday from our facility in Englewood, Florida.
  • For Saturday delivery and exact delivery deadlines, please contact us directly.

WHEELCHAIR PURCHASES

This policy applies to wheelchair purchases, not rentals or other products.

We offer a 15-day trial period to give you plenty of time to try your pet in its new wheelchair – this applies to refundable carts only. The 15-days start the day you receive your K9 Cart.

Refundable Carts:
(This applies only to dogs, cats, and rabbits)

Rear Support Two-Wheel Carts for pets 6-115 lbs – 70% refund
Full Support Quad Carts 6-115 lbs – 70% refund
Wheelchair Front Support Kits 6-115 lbs – 70%

Non-Refundable Carts:

We do not offer a refund on the following carts:
All rental carts.
Specialty Carts – made for any pet other than a dog or cat (goats, deer, chickens etc.) or pets with special needs that cannot be met with our standard carts.
This also includes any XXS small wheelchairs built for pets under 6 lbs and XXL wheelchairs built for pets over 115 lbs..

You will be refunded 70% of the cost of the cart as long as the cart is returned within 15 days, clean, and in like new condition. CHARGES WILL BE APPLIED IF THE CART IS RETURNED IN LESS THAN NEW CONDITION (NEEDS CLEANING, REFURBISHING OR REPAIRS). SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. CUSTOMER PAYS RETURN SHIPPING.

Cancellations

Orders can only be cancelled before shipped. Once shipped the standard return terms apply. Wheelchair cancellations are subject to a 5% cancellation fee–higher fees may apply on wheelchairs based on production progress. Any product, other than wheelchairs, can be cancelled with zero fee as long as it has not been shipped.

My 20 year old cat, Mr Bungle, was left unable to walk due to a stroke. He still had mobility with his front legs and was still trying to move on his own, and also passed the towel test, so he was a good candidate for the four wheeled chair. Everyday we would spend time getting used to the chair and I would slowly push him and he would move his limbs in a natural way, trying to walk on his own. After about a month of rehabilitation, I started to notice that he was trying to get to the litter box on his own when I was away at work. We graduated to me holding his hips and walking behind him and after a few weeks he was walking on his own! Unfortunately he passed away due to heart issues, but for the last months of his life he had MOBILITY and DIGNITY. While people told me that I should put him to sleep, he obviously had the desire to keep on living, your product gave him independence and a great quality of life for his last few months. THANK YOU SO MUCH! IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME.

I wanted to say an enormous thank you to everyone who helped build Molly's wheelchair. Two weeks ago she fell from a second floor banister and fractured her spine in two places. We have a long road ahead, but thankfully she has movement and feeling in her lower body. Yesterday she got her wheelchair, and she's so happy to be moving again!! Much love from West Virginia!
