Do I need the U-Band for my male dog?

For most male dogs, the conventional belly band fits in front of the hind legs, behind the penis.

On about 20 percent of male dogs, the tip of their penis starts farther back between their legs. The U-band shape provides an easy opening so they can urinate freely.

Works great. My dog is comfortable and were able to help her when she needs it!

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR RUSHING MY ORDER. HELPING MY DOG WITHOUT THE HELP EM UP WOULD HAVE BEEN IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT INJURING HER. SHE DOESN'T MIND IT AT ALL. SHE EVEN SNORES WHILE ASLEEP WITH THE HARNESS ON. WHEN SHE SEES ME COMING WITH THE HARNESS SHE COMES TO ME WAITING FOR IT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT THE HELP EM UP. SHE IS A BIG RHODESIAN RIDGE BACK AND THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER SURGERY WOULD HAVE BEEN IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO HANDLE HER WITHOUT THE HELP EM UP. SOOO THANK YOU VERY MUCH. My great dane was 136lbs.. I am 115lbs.. so I'm sure you can imagine how difficult it was when we found a mass on her spine in her neck, which left her with weakening of all 4 legs. She was unable to walk on her own for the last 2 weeks of her life, and the towels only did so much. I was hesitant about the price and spent HOURS searching for similar harnesses, but it was either favoring the front end or back, not both, and the reviews on the materials used were not great. I was doing all of this on my own, so after a few days of searching and debate, I pulled the trigger and bought it. Shipping was SO fast, expected 3-5, and it was here in 3 days! Don't be discouraged if it takes a few times using it to get the right adjustments; once you have them, you are set! My girl got used to it and knew it helped her, so she knew when to turn so I could clip her in and everything. This is worth EVERY penny, and I will recommend this harness to anyone I can. I was able to stand up with her, which made it easier for her but also not kill my back like I had been. The material is SO sturdy, and you know it was made to last and hold serious weight.

For anyone in debate or looking for a harness for either front end, back end, or both, I cannot recommend this brand enough!!
I ordered an XL for my 136lb great dane, and it was a great fit. TONS of room if needed to tighten or loosen.

Our Bucovina Shepherd dog Ursa has severely deformed front legs and due to this she has torn her cruciate ligaments (at different times). The Help ‘Em Up not only has helped her, it’s saved my poor back for getting messed up trying to help her
